Is this a revised tool or the now ancient Monogram kit reboxed?

I'm not too keen on all these re-boxed old Revell kits. Revell have the resources and expertise to make new tooled state of the art model kits. but instead they just re-box these old tooled model kits from the 80's and 90's which are actually pretty poorly tooled and lack a degree of accuracy.

I wouldn't be so quick to condemn the old Monogram Eagle kit. So what if it has raised panel lines? The real thing does too, believe it or not. Any 'lack of detail' in the cockpit and exhausts can easily be solved by the aftermarket so many of buy without thinking about it, and the actual shapes have yet to be improved upon.

For what you save by not paying for the Tamayagawa name, you can buy a heck of a lot of aftermarket improvement, or you can put it in the bank to buy another kit later on. Once it's built and sitting on your display shelf you really can't tell the difference very easily.
