Hi Evangelos,
I stumbled on these new gaspatch Henschels last week, while browsing their website.
I was intrigued by them, and anticipated on their quality. Well judging by your photos they are up to the best plastic around, right?
I still have the esci Tamiya reboxed in the stash so not sure if I'll buy one soon.
Please keep your excellent thread, it's very well presented and informative, plus your models skills are excellent also!
Cheers

Hi Evangelos,
A superb Hs 123 you are building. Your cockpit does not look as though it could be smaller than 1/32! What amazing detail.

Hi Evangelos
Great start - and beautifully presented photos!
I bought the 'B-1 last week, so I'm looking forward to its arrival even more than ever after seeing your fantastic build!

Yes, amazing indeed, especially if you consider the fact that none of it is scratchbuilt.

Great blog. It really seems to be a cool and detailed kits. The inclusion of the stand for the landing gear is awesome!!
Looking forward to see more.

Wow - fantastic build!
All that fading was accomplished with the lightened base colours?

Correct. I used oil blends for the lightened base colours.

Wow! Great job! I never knew there was another HS 123 in the works and I wasn't gonna buy the Italeri kit. I gotta check out the Gaspatch site.

Well...
I bought one. Not overly cheap, either. But I've wanted one for a while and being a small company I figured I'd better jump despite the cost.

After only 11 days, it's arrived from Greece. It's pretty awesome!

Evangelos,
this is really a pretty awesome build! Looks it could fly directly from the bench! Wow!

Fabulous. I now have the best reference for building this

I picked up the A-1 at Scale Modelworld. Although I moved up to 1/32 scale (I would love to see this aircraft in 1/32 scale

)Building some of the new tooled Airfix kits has brought me back to doing 1/48 scale as well

I looked at this kit last year and saw how nice it is but because I wasn't building in 1/48 I didn't buy it. This year however I couldn't resist and I fancied the splinter camo.
I didn't know that Gaspatch do a camo set for it but I will be producing my own anyway

Thanks very much for posting such a well photographed and very informative build sequence

Hi Evangelos
Fantastic stuff! You really should submit this as a Feature, because it deserves to be on the Frontpage where it will get the maximum views. I'm especially impressed by the realistic oil streaks you've added - a subtle effect that adds so much character and life.

@ Mal - Montex (then Alley Cat) released a beautiful resin kit in 1:32 a few years ago. I couldn't afford one at the time, but you may still be able to pick one up. But it's a subject that definitely warrants an injection kit in that scale.
All the best

Did they? Wow how did I miss that! Thanks for the heads up I'll search it out

Just an incredible build[s] and finish[es]. Not an easy kit either.
I thought I was the only lunatic who tackled more than one of a kit at a time.

Amazingly well done build and presentation!
Again this site continues to seduce me away from the heavy armor side.
So fine, on so many levels.
