Hi guys! I've finished my 1/48 Academy Apache. You can check it in my website. As I can say for the kit, it is really bad.... very bad fit. So bad that some small parts were left out. You can see a lot of imperfections in this work . The canopy is dipped in Future and my masking on the canopy is really bad. (Darn cheap invisible tape!). Some details were lost due to sanding, what did I do to revive those details? I've done paint chipping on the areas where the details were lost to atleast replicate those raised bolts were there. Photos are again on my website.

Thanks!

BTW, I've updated my website with a quite new look. Report to me for any broken links. Thanks for visiting!!!

Hi Shonen

Well done - the main thing is that you battled through all the problems which the kit put in your way and got the beast finished! :-) It's often by tackling the "bad" kits that we improve our skills most.

Good job

Thanks Merlin! Actually I want to eliminate all those bad parts but the due date is near. I've hurriedly finished that just yesterday night.

Very intersting, Shonen, as long as you enjoyed it, it's fine.

The plane looked weathered in its unique way, which could be approriate for the harsh environment these planes are operated in.

Not bad. build more, can't wait to see the next chopper you do

It would be a superdetailed version of the Apache, my unfinished OOB Comanche or the OOB Hind.
