Excellent review Adie thank you. My kit arrived last week and I agree with all you say; it looks fabulous and it is certainly on par with the Kinetic 1/48 SU-33 for those who have that kit as well.
I just (really) hope it builds as well as it looks in the box given some of the well documented engineering and fit issues of previous K-H kits. As far as tooling and details go, this kit is as good as anything on the market today.

Thank you, Gary, for your thoughts too on this kit I know in the past they have had a few fit issues but they seem to have really done their home work on this particular kit. I did try some dry fit (wings and fuselage) and besides some minor preparation which I mention in the review all the dry fitting went really well. I was really surprised and overjoyed as again like I said in the review the whole thing just looked awesome from the moment I opened the box! I will be building it soon and I am really looking forward to doing so.

Another one of those excellent kits that are taking over the market in recent years.

It is very encouraging Adie that the dry fit seems to suggest a well fitting kit. I just could not bear all those details being puttied and sanded away! Great stuff and thanks again mate.

I hope you will see the improvements when you get hold of one Gary. I do feel that Kitty Hawk has moved on from the days of more 'work' than pleasure when it comes to the build. I will let you know soon enough as it is not going to be long before I can no longer resist the Su-35 and build it. Adie

Good fit or not, there are flaws in the kit including the failure to represent the exhaust nozzles at rest and the position of the flare system. That being said, I'll wait for some corrections or hope that KH makes some corrections available.
