This is my Valiant Miniatures US Marine Pilot, WWII, Kit# 9872. I bought and painted this 1:32/54mm figure on the 4th of July, 1976.
Back then it was cleanly painted with enamels by I&R, Floquil, Pactra and Testors. Over the decades some of the paint has rubbed off. I've planned to repaint it some although I want to preserve the Pactra Khaki for nostalgia. Recently, I tried some of my wash shadowing. I am displeased so some day I'll remove it and try again. Oh, and get rid of his 'popeye' look.
I wasn't planning to post this until i painted it but that may be a long time from now and I don't want to wait. So without further adieu, here's my old once-masterpiece.
