Kit manufacture: Airfix
Scale: 1/72
Type: DH. 82a Tiger Moth, Republican Airforce, 1935
Extras used: Kora Tiger Moth in Spanish service decals and resin wheels, Uschi super fine rigging thread
Paints and colours used: Mr hobby Aluminum metalizer

This kit from Airfix is their new tool version of the Tiger Moth and its another great kit, there is lots of detail in the cockpit which is good as its on show and the subtle fabric texture on the wings is really quite impressive. The kit can be a little tricky when it comes to putting on the top wing so care should be taken in that step.

The decals from Kora were a little basic and the violet colour was not properly set, almost as if it needed more colour density. They were also printed on one sheet all together so I had to cut them quite closely to reduce the amount of carrier film. Once on the model they performed perfectly.

Superb work and a rarely seen colour scheme.

Outstanding! I am always afraid of rigging in this scale. This one really is an eyecatcher. Thanks for sharing!
