Greetings everyone,

After 10 years of making armor and competing in 1/35 tank modelling, I've bought my very first airplane kit: a 1/48 Hasegawa F-22 Raptor. I have gotten the Wolfpack Cockpit as well as Eduard photo etch for the body. My question is regarding the paint scheme:

Can anyone suggest or recommend an acrylic set of paints for the Raptor? In my tank making days I've mostly used ModelMaster, Tamiya, and Vallejo acrylics. I've been reading online thus far that the paint scheme is quite complex with regards to its sheen. I'd most rather stay away from enamels though (don't wish to gas the entire apartment).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tru-color paint is going to be releasing the proper colors later this year according to a story on Aeroscale. Key in F-22 paint in the search box and it will pull up the story.
