Hooray for this - I would certainly buy in but I am sort of locked in to 1/48 - these build photos look like 3D printed parts - not injection molded test shots to me - anyone care to weigh in on this ?

It's legit. They showed this stuff at a recent show, along with descriptions of the six variants they are releasing.
I have been awaiting this as 1) new Japanese anything in 1/32 is good news and 2) it's a big-ass twin engine as well. I can't justify all six so I need to carefully consider which I will get.

Perhaps it is the quality of the photo or maybe the test build was shot with a primer giving it a pebble texture

Sure looks like another winner from ZM. Just a shame that so much of the wing detailing will be lost when one opts to "skin" them. It's surely one very big model that unfortunately I don't have room for.
