Hello Martin, this is the first I have heard of your colors/company. Are these acrylic by any chance? I'm hoping to visit NAT this year for the first time and I'll try to remember to stop in to say hello.

Tru-Color Paint is a solvent based paint that uses an acrylic polymer to bind the finely ground pigments we use to the model being painted. Because it is a single component polymer system it does not cure and will therefore NEVER go bad on storage. Even if some of the solvents should evaporate on long storage, you can reconstitute the paint by adding either TCP-015, Thinner or TCP-310 Retarder to the paint (or a combination of the 2), stir/shake and the paint will function as good as new.

All of the military paint colors are designed to be applied with an airbrush at 28-35 PSI with little or no thinning. If thinning is desired, just 10-15 % of TCP-015 should be ample to give a paint that will cover in 1 pass, no affect the plastic model and adhere well when the plastic is washed before painting to remove residual oils and finger prints.

Each color we manufacture is matched to color chips; Federal Standard, RAL, RAF color;, or by experts in their field. Tru-Color Paint takes pride in producing the most accurate color system for the military, automobile and railroad modeler.

There is over 200 hobby shops, online stores, ebay stores (and recently an Amazon store we are told) across the U.S., Australia, Canada and a few in Europe who carry some portion of our paint lines. Over 800 colors are manufactured in 5 major paint lines !

See our website for more details or contact directly through email.
