Can anybody guess where I've been so lucky to be able to visit during my current business trip?

Here are some hints:

Jeff,
You are think of the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. I don't think that is where Tin Can went but I am not sure...

The one at Wright-Patterson? They don't have naval aircraft that I remember, the p-40 that they have has a better paintjob and the closest they have to a dauntless is an a-24. Unless of course they got new aircraft since I was there a year ago. :-)

That's the one!!! I remember doing a report on Ohio in 5th grade (about 10 yrs ago) and I remember thinking how cool it would be to visit that museum (I was building model planes at the time, which probably contributed to that sentiment).

It is the Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola NAS, Florida.

The plane hanging from the ceiling behind the SBD in the second picture is the Naval Airccraft Factory TDR-1 drone.

And we have a winner. I'm fortunate that my current travel sked has me working about .5 miles from the museum over on the flight line at NAS Pensacola. I've taken approx. 500 detail photos so far and will probably take about a 1000 more. So far I've got complete walk around/detail photos of a corsair, sbd-2 dauntless and P-40B.
