Hello, did all B-25's that were destined for Lend Lease leave the North American factory's in U.S. paint color or were they painted in say RAF colo(u)rs in the factory?
How do you all like Airfix A06015 B-25C/D? Is it a good kit?

Interesting question. My uneducated guess is that since the planes were ferried over to England, that they were painted with the proper National Insignia at the plant.
I did several google searches and came up empty handed.

I do know that the paints used at the factory were American equivalents of the British paints which further complicates matters. I agree with Joel if they were produced for a British order they would've had the required paint job and equipment installed at the factory before dispatch.
Does anyone know if Dana Bell has weighed in on this particular question? He'd be the man who'd know if he had.
I've no information on the kit, but the cad images I've seen it does really look rather good. But I've no idea on the accuracy or fit unfortunately.
