Just wanted to make everyone on this forum aware that Tru-Color Paint will be in attendance at the IPMS National Convention being held in Phoenix, AZ on August 1-4, 2018. We will have the ENTIRE Tru-Color Paint product lines there for U.S. Naval ships from WW2 to date, Japanese Naval ships for WW2 and samples of some colors for Kreigsmarine for WW2. We will also have every color we have for U.S. land forces - armor, vehicles, uniforms, etc; and U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force colors for planes from WW1 to modern times. A sampling of our generic and detail colors will also be on display and for sale.

We will have 4 tables with all of our paint for sale. Models using our paint will also be on display. If you plan to attend the IMPS National, drop by our tables and say hello, pick up some paint and flyers. Maybe you have an idea for a color or colors we should have in our product line - bring that up now or at the convention ! Masking paper in 3 and 10 packs will also be there.

If you want anything specific (like 2 or 16 oz. of any color) brought for you, let us know by responding to this thread, calling or emailing us. We will be happy to accommodate any special order. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Going to have to wait till the IPMS Nationals comes back to the North East.

Do you ever do any regionals?

Joel:

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, no - we do not do regional shows due to the cost of traveling with inventory and lodging.

However, we will supply local military or automobile modeling clubs/IPMS chapters with samples of our paint for a demonstration along with pieces of models for them to try our paint on. This applies to a small group of members or a regional convention. An officer of the club or chapter must contact us by email telling us where and when they would like the event to be held along with an approximate number of attendees. We will even supply thinner and acetone for clean up.

Along with the samples we will send our flyers for the military and/or automobile paint lines for distribution to all. Pass this info on to all your local clubs.

Convention Update; Tru-Color Paint will have mock-up displays of proposed military sets at the convention. Among the potential sets are 3-4 for U.S. Armor, 1 for Israeli armor, 4-6 for U.S. aircraft from 1920's to modern jets and 4-6 sets for U.S. Navy ships concentrated around the myriad of WWII camouflage colors, 2 for the Imperial Japanese Navy, etc.

By the end of March we will have a poll (or survey) on our website as to which of these sets should be placed into production. If we get enough feedback in time we might even be able to get 4-6 of the sets completed for the convention for sale.

Personally I am leaning toward 3 of the U.S. Armor sets - Olive Drab Set from 1930-1952, MERDC colors and NATO colors; 2 of the U.S. Air Force sets - the Southeast Asia Camouflage colors and Modern F-22 and F-35 anti-radar paint; and finally the U.S. Navy Pre-WWII colors used on battleships and aircraft carriers (which would be the ship colors in Pearl Harbor).

If you want a preview of our proposed military set list, call, respond to this thread or email us for a word file describing the sets.
