I've heard rumblings of a 1/32 PB4Y-2 Privateer in the works...has anyone heard anything about it?

I would be happy with a good one in 1/48 scale.

HobbyBoss has announced new 1/32 B-24J and B-24D models in 1/32 scale-- first time for any B-24 series in 1/32. It wouldn't be too much of a leap to get a Privateer next-- maybe that's what you heard. Of course a Privateer is longer, has a different tail, engines sit differently, it has different ASW equipment and turrets, among other things. But the basic concept would be there. I'd just be happy with a new 1/72 version to replace the outdated Matchbox kit.
