Hello---I want to start a Spitfire II in the near future and was wondering which kit was best as far as fit and accuracy. The 1/72 Airfix maybe?---Thanks---John

Howdy,
Revell of Germany have released a 1/72 Spitfire Mk. II recently which is supposed to be quite good.

The Airfix kit is one of their newer mouldings and only needs seat belts, maybe a new instrument panel as well

Revell is your choice for a Mk.II out of the box as Airfix only make a Mk.Ia although it’s not hard to convert a Mk.Ia into a II.

Yep Revell produce a Mk II in 1/32 scale.
I do believe that the Airfix 1/72 scale Spitfire (but which boxing I don't know) contains parts for the Mk 2. Basically the Mk V style oil cooler (round opening instead of half round) alloy covered, rather than fabric covered ailerons and the late antenna (without the triangular bracket). It will likely be the latest boxing?
