I have a tendency to enjoy doing kits that have a meaning to me, whether it be family related, or something that i have been in. A while back, i was able to get my hands on an Academy CH53 kit from ebay, dirt cheap. It came with aftermarket cockpit, an aftermarket decal set, and reference photo disk. This was great, because that decal set happen to have the squadron that the exwife was a mechanic for. although we dont necessarily get along, i thought it was great to be able to use that to do for the decals.
i let this kit sit for the longest time because of the cockpit. i like to make any seamlines that should not be there, to make themse disappear, and being that the whole nose of the helo is clear plastic, it was a bit nerveracking, so i finally got up the courage to get it on there, and carefully fill, and sand the seamline. also, i did do interior lighting in it, but the lighting is red, so it doesnt stick out the best, and you will not see it in the photos.
