I won a Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4 Pro Modeler - Nr. 85-5933 - 1:48 at a show last weekend. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some aftermarket detail kits for it. It looks like a great kit and the instructions appear fantastic. I'd really like to make this one pop.

I have the Aires set while not cheap I believe it to be excellent value for the money. Checkout this link for a look at the detail set. I've also heard of some using the True Details Bf110C/D resin cockpit and modifying it to a G model.

How hard of a fit is it? I've read that their kits can be hard to fit. I've never used a resin kit before, but am willing to give it a try.

While not a perfect fit the Aires kit is reasonable and the resin is easy to sand. here's a build where the modeller chose the Aires cockpit and gives some insights into it's fitting.

Also there was a Cutting edge replacement engine cowling and spinners that corrected the poorly shaped ones from the kit. The rest of the kit is very good imo.
