I have been trying to find an accurate/detailed 1/72nd scale A-7D Corsair II with decals for the Colorado ANG 120th TFS gunsmoke competition logos as well.
So far I am unable to find such a kit, except for the AMT/ESCI kit. I really don't know much about this kit when it comes to detail and accuracy.
Also, the answer to the question is yes, unless a company makes the decals needed for this plane, the kit has to have the decals for it in the kit.
So this is why I would really like your honest opinions please.
My buying a or this kit depends on your voice.
Thank you.

I can't comment on the shape and size accuracy but the ESCI A7D was quite a decent kit in its day (original release 1988) with good surface detail and recessed lines, and relatively good fit.

It's a decent enough kit, fits well and has good shapes. The only issue you'll find primitive is that ESCI kits all depend on putting decals onto flat panels in the cockpit. Here's an aftermarket option made for the Fujimi kit which you can probably shoehorn in.

Jessie,
So between the Fujimi kit and the hobby boss kit, which would you chose to be the more accurate, without using AM parts?
Thank you
