how to backdate OH-58D to OH-58A in 1/35

hello

like to backdate the MRC OH-58D to a OH-58A, used in Vietnam.

any ideas, how to do it?

Not easily. They are very different aircraft. It would be much easier to just build the old Revell 1/32 OH-58A/Jet Ranger kit. It is a good base and can come out really nice with a bit of TLC and elbow grease.



Here is an example of how it cane come out. Not mine, but very nice.

since the 1960s more than one time reboxed, but actualy nowhere to buy (google research)

There are 2 of the original IMC versions on eBay.

IMC Jet Ranger

The conversion/backdate would be extensive. You would have to rebuild everything above the roofline, to include the earlier two-blade rotor system. The easiest way would be to combine the two kits using the engine cowl/sail and rotor from the ICM/Revell kit and adding them to an Academy/MRC OH-58D fuselage to get a well detailed OH-58A.
