Seems to me it's been awhile since there was a WWII twin-engined fighter campaign. As our next campaign start date seems to be February, kinda sounds like a natural to me. What do you all think?

Is this any type of engine Michael? By that I mean are we including prop, rocket and jet engines? And are we going to include Luft '46 aircraft? But regardless I'm in! We go from P-38s to Me110s and 410s to Me262 (if jet engines are included) Ju88C series with the solid nose not to Mention French, British, Russian or Italian possibles.

Yep, the rules are going to be intricate. Limited to actual combat in WWII? For the US that might limit it to the P-38, P-61 and P-70. The F5F/P-65 were never produced, F7F didn't get into combat before the war ended. Did I miss any?
In general I'm guessing it includes the Mosquito, Bf-110, Me-262, Dornier 335, so it's an illustrious company.

My thought was WWII fighters, prop or jet (or rocket, I suppose). I know there are at least a few more British entries (Beaufighter, Whirlwind, and Meteor) and the Japanese had several. I believe the Russians, Italians, and French each had one or two as well. I'd be OK with designs that reached the flying prototype stage (F5F, F7F, etc.) during the War as well.

I'm certainly open to suggestions, however, to make the idea more popular!

Would the P-82 count?

Well, apparently it first flew in May, 1945. So I suppose it would count.

OK, how does this sound:

Any twin engined fighter (prop, jet, rocket) that flew from 1939-45 in any actual (no wifs) color and marking scheme carried by that aircraft (including pre and post war).

Might be the P-38, the bf 110 (nightfighter), the Me 262, the Ta 154, the Mosquito and if Michael’s permits, a cockpit build Me 410

He 219, Potez 630/631, Fokker G.1

Ju 88 and Do 217 night fighter versions also come to mind. For the prototypes, there's also the Nakajima Kikka which flew in the last days of the war.

AARG, I picked up an old Mono 1/48 P-61 at a local thrift shop. Looked like it was all there, even the Shep Paine diorama sheet. But alas, one of the nose gear doors isn't on the sprue or floating around in the bottom of the box. Revell is no longer in the spares business. So I guess I get to do a diorama of a plane getting it's nose gear doors fixed
