I'm slowly working my way through a stash I acquired from a friend. He had this Esci 1/72 SPAD XIII sitting around forever and asked if I wanted to give it shot. So I said, "why not?"
I tried to emulate some of the bigger examples on the site by adding a rudimentary cockpit... which is near impossible to photograph.
I also tried to compensate the tiny scale by using a bit of figure painting technique; highlights and shading with acrylics and oils.
