Hi, I am attempting to get a 1:72 Battle of Britain(BoB) collection going, but can't find the right mark of Ju-88 (The A4s being too late). Are there any conversions available, or is converting an A4 easy to do?
Thanks

Simon, this is one of the few BoB kits Airfix have yet to retool from their range...

Salutations,
I too have been searching for a BoB Ju-88. Now I am not in any way a Ju-88 expert, however I did do some digging and while you/and me wait for that retooled early Ju-88 BoB edition from Airfix (BTW there where not that my Ju-88's that were in the BoB) you could try the Zvezda Ju-88A5 and there is actually decals from Peddinghaus that has markings for one that was part of the BoB. Apparently the Germans did the same thing with the Ju-88 like the British did with the Spit. Releasing marks/versions out of sequence. Some A5's were involved in the BoB but no A4's. The earlier ones (with the shorter wings, etc.) were involved but not that many. Apparently early Ju-88's were a handful to fly and not very many were involved since no one wanted to fly them or there were no experienced pilots to fly them. Again these are the bits and pieces I dug up. Hope this helps.
Cheers

Thanks, after I posted I found the following:
http://modelingmadness.com/scott/axis/previews/zv/7284.htm
and

The first the Zvesda Ju88A5 and the second a conversion for the Ital Ju88A4. As far as research it seems the 88 suffered from Udet's Dive Bomber curse, and was used as such till BoB where it didnot work so well, and the "every plane for them selves" tactics weren't big game winners.
