Has anyone built Hasegawa 52123 F-15E?

Wondering if anyone has built this kit and can tell me if its a good representation of the F-15E regardless of "country of origin" decals? Looking to make this into a Desert Storm strike eagle and want to be aware of any potential issues. Cheers!

Hi Damon,

I went to Hobby Search (1999.co.jp/eng) and looked it up. I think it'll build into a decent F-15E. It has the 3 lower CFT hardpoints (which the original Haseagawa Strike eagle didn't have-it was a prototype-so you have to watch which kit you get).

Won't be perfect, but decent, I think.

Thanks,

Tom

I would start with the Revell kit if you can even better if you can find one at Michaels with one of their coupons! If not then I would use the Academy kit. I have all three.

Cheers Rob.

I certainly hope Academy improved their F-15 with the E model. I built the C model and was not impressed. Major fit problems where the nose section fit the fuselage and other areas. LOT of filler was used. That being said, once done, it does look nice. I have a Hasegawa and Revell F-15E in the stash to build. You can get the Revell at Michaels for $15-20 when you use a 40-50% off coupon.

Treat yourself to the Great Wall Hobby F-15E. I've been working on one and has been nothing but a pleasure to build. I little on the expensive side but well worth it. My two cents.
