Copper state models: Nieuport XVII LatePosted: Wednesday, December 05, 2018 - 09:10 AM UTC
Copper State Models have released their eagerly anticipated debut 1:32 kit, the Nieuport 17. The highly detailed model is available in two boxings, "Early" and "Late". Here we take a First Look at latter ahead of getting cracking on a full build.

Very nice review, Rowan. Hard to decide between the "early" and "late" models, but it sounds like a winner in any case. This may help offset the prejudice of WNW against French planes.

Cheers Bill
There's certainly no gainsaying that Nieuports and SPADs would sell like hotcakes if WNWs had them in their range. But it's great that their omission has meant an ideal opportunity for a small company to make their debut in 1:32 with a fine model of such an iconic fighter.
All the best

Agree 100% with the comments and review. Were mine in a WNW box you would never, ever, question if it was by someone else.
So, how about a 1/32 SPAD VII or XIII next CSM....?

It's amazing to me that there's not a 1/32 SPAD for Eddie Rickenbacker! There a lot of Americans waiting for that (Cooper State Models are you listening?). Now that WNW is out of business (unfortunately), a lot of WWI aviation enthusiasts will grab up a new high quality kit like that in 1/32.

Hobbycraft released an Eddie Rickenbacker SPAD XIII In an “aces” boxing some years ago in 1/32 scale. It’s actually not a bad kit. It was also released an an “International” boxing. unfortunately, it’s OOP. Roden produces a line of SPAD VIIs in various marking options. However, as far as I know nobody produces a 1/32 SPAD wit the early rounded wingtips.
