Which is the meaning of the colors in the numbers used in the A4 of
the Top Gun?
Have I read that those numbers help the pilots that are trained that
is of what it forces their trainers they come, is This true?.
An example is the Bu.Nu. 150023, in two of their schemes, it took the
number 56 in red and in black.
I just hope not to be ... thanks.
Thanks a lot again. :-) :-)
Cheers.

Naval aircraft Bureau Numbers might be considered as inventory numbers or Dewey decimal numbers on books in a library for keeping track on an aircraft's life history, from the time of its acceptance by the Navy to its eventual disposal. The "Zap" numbers on the nose of aggressors is in imitation of the numbers applied to the noses of former Warsaw Pact, Russian, Chinese, VietNamese and North Korean aircraft. VFC-34 was in our hanger at NAS Lemoore for a couple of years before they were decommissioned. They used the Zap number instead of a modex number for their aircraft identification and maintenance on their F/A-18 A and B Hornets.

There are some pictures of VFC-12(?) Hornet aggressors in Squadron/Signal F/A-18 Hornet Walk Around. I don't have a digital camara or a scanner, so I can't put anything up now.

Don't worry friend, I would prefer the A-4E Aggressive Scooters of the Navy and Marines.
Look at this for example...
