Who keeps buying these ancient re-boxed ESCI / AMT kits which seem to have nothing going for them other than a premium quality decal sheet? It's not like it's even a "the only game in town" scenario with this one.
For what you will pay (retail) for this kit, you can get a vastly superior in all respects Tamiya 1/48 Skyraider kit for the same or even less money at kit shows or on eBay. I recently picked up a brand new Tamiya 'J' version for £23.00 (delivered) here in the UK via the latter.
Still, if Italeri can keep selling 'old wine in new bottles' (but at current day prices) then good luck to them!
