Oh, nice. Very nice. And knowing them, Roden will make a pretty good job of it.

These planes sort of dropped out of history. There weren't many made, and they were difficult and costly to maintain, but they had to hang in there until the C-5 Galaxy became available. (Don't let the sleek looks fool you - this was a very large aircraft, and you wouldn't want it in 1/72.) Anyway, they were cutting edge technology when they came out, and set a number of records.

Yep, looking forward to this Cold War transport.

You know, this is the sort of plane that would seriously interest Jessie C. Is she still around these days?

Yes, now and then. And she's kind of regretting her Welsh Models kit now. I mean, it's not as if it had more than one paint scheme.

Yes, I do very much want this one in 1/72-as an all-injection kit! By the way, as you may know, Kinetic is doing a 1/72 C-17 which will be longer than a 1/72 Cargomaster. The wingspan of the Cargomaster would only be slightly longer than a C-17 in 1/72-so, a 1/72 Cargomaster is quite feasible!
