Hi mates!!!

This is my new Ta 152 C-1/R14 in 1/48 scale from HobbyBoss. It's another great kit from this chinese manufacturer.
R14 ("Rüstsatz 14") means, that this Version was projected as a Torpedofighter. But it came never in service.
Painted with colours from Gunze and Revell.

Nice work, actually superb paint.

Tho I wonder, was it really intended to carry out over water attacks with that camo scheme? Or was the time over water just going to be so short and the greatest need was a camo that hid the aircraft while on the ground?

I also ponder if the Ta 152 coudl go slow enough to drop a torp? I've just finished reading Mike Crosley's "They Gave Me A Seafire" and "Up In Harm's Way" wheer he talks a lot about naval strike and fighter aircraft and the differing requirements. One of his comments was high performance fighters were poor choices for torp attacks due to their inability to fly slowly enough, even more so with 1/2 ton of torp hanging out in the breeze.

This late in the war the camo was to help hide the aircraft from roaming Typhoons, Tempests, P-47's and P-51's than it was to make it harder to spot in the air or over water. It's a paper plane so to speak it was a projected version of the Ta152C that never entered service though I think they did trial it like they did with Fw190 A & D but I could be wrong .... and I often am!
