Hi guys,
I have Academy F-4C phantom in 1/48th scale.
I’ve been looking at Eduard webpage and only found that they have available the F-4B exhaust nozzles (ref. 648138) and the F-4J exhaust nozzles (ref. 648254). Is any of them OK for a F-4C phantom?
Thanks in advance,
Angel

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the F-4B cans will be correct for the C. After the D model the J-79 had larger afterburner nozzles that would be found on the E, F, J, S, etc.
Hope this helps!

As Michael says, the nozzles are the same on the B, C and D Phantom.
The B was the Naval variant built for carrier operations, while the C and D were the ground based. Some differences, mostly internal, but same engines. So you'll be ok with the Eduard cans.
If you can find it I thoroughly recommend the book McDonnell F-4 Phantom Spirit in the Sky by World Air Power Journal. Probably one of the best references works for F-4 printed, covering every major version and user.

Thanks Stephen for your help.
I will see if I can find a copy of the book.
