beside Kosher salt for that paint chipping effect what else can one use. I just dont have any and dont want to wait to order it.
Any help would be appreciated

For my paint chipping I like to use either a silver gel pen or a silver artists pencil. Both work very good. The gel pen, because it's ink, is a little shinier than the pencil.

I use the old method of dry brush with the silver paints and steel this way, I think so, work best ...
