recently, within the past 3 weeks, there was a notice of a new kit becoming available. it was of the first helicopter, but I am not a "plane" builder so I thought it would not be of interest.

turns out, it May have been a replica "autogyro" of the aerial surveillance used in Hitchcock's version of John Buchan's The 39 Steps. "A Cierva C-30A appears briefly in Alfred Hitchcocks 1935 film. " http://irishgyroplanes.com/media.html

any help locating information/ review of this kit appreciated.

thanks

The 1982 version of the movie "Annie" with Albert Finney, Carol Burnett and Tim Curry contained a very nice Autogyro similar to the Avro. (The Pitcairn PCA-2) The aircraft also employed a radial engine for forward propulsion but had nearly full width wings and a normal aircraft style tail.

I think there was one in the movie "The Rocketeer" too, when Howard Hughes and Peavey fly in to rescue "The Rocketeer" and his girlfriend from the top of an exploding airship.
