On a trip to Tokyo at the end of last year, I picked up the above kit from the Yūshūkan museum shop as it was at a fraction of a price compared to here in NZ.
I'd like to start this soon once I've finished a couple of WW1 aircraft I'm currently working on and am wondering what there is out there aftermarket wise for this kit? Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi Gary,
I built this about three years ago for a campaign. In its OOB form the kit is very good. If you to go for a range of enhancements the Eduard Big-Ed photo etch will cover a lot of bases. I also used HGW seatbelts which are easier to manage than photo etch ones and wheels from Mastercaster wheels. There are range of aftermarket decals for this but the national insignia is fairly straight forward that you can paint the hinomaru if you wish with simple circle masks.

Thanks Michael. Big Ed set is out of stock at my usual vendor but will grab one when it is back in. Any idea if the Quickboost stuff is any good? I use the HGW belts on most of my WW1 subjects so a no brainer there
