Black Dog Models has released two 1/32 scale US Navy WWII pilots and a combine release with both pilot figures included

What makes them "Navy" as opposed to Marines?

I would say nothing. Both USN and USMC aviators were issued with the M668 summer flying suit that these guys seem to be wearing.

These are very nice figures, and would go very well with any Naval aircraft from 1943 on. I'm thinking of a TBF vignette right now.
