I think Tamiya is one of the best, if not the best, manufacturers from kits, but the prices do scare me off sometimes...

Tamiya makes a few that are up there in price: (around the $100.00 range)
F-15E Strike Eagle 1/32 Scale
F-14 Tomcat 1/32 Scale
JASDF F-15J Eagle 1/32 Scale
Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Fighter (Zeke) 1/32 Scale
I believe the Zero is the newest in their line of 1/32nd kits. Here's a little look under the cowlings (as it were...I think that's how it's spelled) : Quite impressive.Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero (Zeke)

Sgtreef,,
Check Model Expo (www.modelexpo.com) for their monthly specials. I picked up the 1/32 Tamiya F-4J for $60 that way, and I've heard people finding even lower prices on it. As for the Zero-sen, I dunno if that one's coming down anytime soon but I've seen it in other dealers' sites and ads for under $90.

I built the 1/32 scale Phantom - AWSOME kit. Worth the money!
Very good quality. The only area I had a fit issue with was the air intake parts didn't meet the body as well as I would have liked. Nothing that a little putty couldnt fix.
One problem that I had was the decals. They would disintigrate as soon as they released from the paper backing. I called Tamiya's cust. support # and told them what I needed (with kit #) and they asked No questions and mailed me a new sheet.
The kits is multi media, it has injected plastic main body, landing gear are a combination of metal struts and injected plastic, tires are rubber, there are multiple screws that keep the kit together in certain places (it is heavy).
There were multiple variants you could depict and a pop full of ordinace options. The molding was good, nice crisp panel lines (receced), nice raised detail where applicable. Great detail in the cockpit.
Superbe kit.
If the F114 is similar it would be worth the money too.
