Well, I've been chatting along like I'm signed up for this one. Well, fixed that. Now I gotta dig out something to build.
Hmmm, I did start the F-14 for Postage Stamps. Maybe the P-38, of the YF-23.

Hmmm, the F-14 I never started for the 4th generation fighters, the P-38 that never made the WW II twins, a great excuse to start an F-15, or F-22, or YF-23, or X-32, or F-35 or SR-71, or F7U, or B-25, or PBJ, or B-24, or PB4Y-1, or C-45, or P-61, or XF5U ....

Here are my start pics:
First step will be to see if I can successfully tint the canopy, not normally something I'm good at.

Hi there!
I just signed up for the campaign and am going to be a model with Tamiya.I have been wanting to make Heinkel He-219 for a long time and the campaign is the reason to start building it.
Here are the initial photos:
That's it for now.
Good luck to all.

And pics...
Fresh out of the dish soap bath, on the towel drying.
Apparently I built the D21 Drone at some point, probably when my kids were little and wanted it.
Next up: Painting

Good evening,
the actual start of my build was somehow delayed, because life had a slightly different idea of how I should spend my time. By now I was able to start the F-18. The resin seat I intended to use was, well, kind of underwhelming, so I stuck with the plasic one. As it is without any seatbelts I added the pilot, who needed some persuasion to fit into the cockpit.
Meanwhile the cockpit tub was added to the fuselage and the main parts have been glued together. Fit of the parts is quite good.
The resin intakes from Maestro Models need a lot of adjustment and tweaking, not exactly a drop-in replacement. After considerably thinning the plastic parts and some head-scratching, I found a sequece wich should simplify the installation (at least for me ):
Not sure how to fit the resin compressor blades, the will definitely need some reworking.
Best regards
Christian

Happy New Year, everyone!
Tom, this is an extremely good job. I like it. Congratulations.
And this is my work progress after painting. After marking and varnish, I modulated the base color with oil paint.
Here are the photos.
For now, this is it.

I'd like to join with this. Notoriously slow builder, but hopefully get it done in time. Or it'll be another hangar queen campaign for me! It'll be oob, no etch or aftermarket. It's a Revell PV-1 Ventura 1/48 btw.
