Here are a few photos of the model presently at my workbench.
It is the minute MarkI 1:144 scale MiG-19S kit.
The model is quite simple (as are most 1:144 scale models of fighter aircraft) and presented just a few issues with small gaps between parts, which were filled and smoothed down.
These problematic areas were primed with a light grey to check for any remaining problem.
The small card base (with printed soviet hex slabs) will be used as its base (I'm using 3mm mdf to support the printed card and square section 5mm balsa stripes to frame it).
I hope to start painting it soon.
Cheers

Impressive. Good looking model. I am not into 1/144 but they are at the point that 1/72 was at 25 years ago. I am impressed.

Getting closer to completion!
This time, I decided to attach most of the small pe bits before painting, securing them on pre-drilled holes (it results on a very solid union).
All the remaining parts were fixed on supports, in order to allow painting them without much manipulation.
The base is already completed and the kit parts were primed, preparing them for the metallic colors.
And after some color.
I hope to complete it soon.
Cheers

Almost there!
Just need to tidy it up, paint and glue the cannons and add some subtle grime and I'll finish it.
The cannons were built using metal tubing (0.8 and 0.5 mm).
Cheers
