This is my first post here, since I mostly build armor. But variety is the spice of life and as a kid I started modelling by building planes. So every now and then I return to my old love.
Looking for a quick, fun build between big and involved projects, I picked up the Airfix kit of the A-4B Skyhawk. The kit only set me back about 13 Euros, so I figured I give it a go. Getting the right paints for this kit, cost me more than the actual kit itself.
In the end I had a lot of fun on this little Scooter. Building was a breeze and researching just how grimy planes could get after prolonged service on board a carrier at war, was a lot of fun.
So here is my Airfix 1/72 A-4B Skyhawk, VA-15 Valions, USS Intrepid, Tonkin Gulf 1967. All she needs is a flying stand.
