Hi all,
I saw somewhere on tv a russian chopper, very heavily armed with missiles and stuff (kind of a cold war era russian kind of apache) It looked very mean to me. Does anybody have a clue after my vague description which type I am talking about and if there is a model of it?

Are you referring to the Mi-24 Hind or perhaps the Mi-28 Havoc ?.... can't tell.
Perhaps he's in here : http://avia.russian.ee/air/monino/helicopter.html

I’d have to agree with Eagle most probably the Mi-24, Mi-28 or the Ka-50 series. Apache -like I would say the Mi-28.

I've got a (slowly progressing) build log of the Trumpeter 1/35th Hind over in the aircraft forum, under the rotory wing catagory. It probably wont get updated until the week after AMPS.
Begemot ( 1/72) and Linden Hill (1/72 and 1/48) make sets of aftermarket decals for the Hind. Cobra company does loads of resin for the 1/48 Monogram kit.
The Trumpeter Hind is so new there isn't any aftermarket out for it... yet.

I have the Hasegawa 1/72 scale HIND D in my basement pile
(am working through my Star Wars kits before I try airbrush that camo pattern on that HIND)
Anyone have any thoughts on the Hasegawa Hind in 1/72?
Looks good and a little PE is included...

he guys,
How could I have overlooked the Trumpeter kit? Must have been sniffin too much glue.
would it not be a great dio with this Hind in the air and Rambo with some Afghan people taking cover behind some mud walls? But I don't know if Verlinden makes really short figures with bad haircuts.

I wish they make the Helix in 1/48. That's one large chopper! I think I've only seen a 1/72 one.

I'd KILL for a 1/48 scale Ka-25 or Ka-27. They both have been done in 72, but
we havn't seen the light of day, for a 1/4" version.
