Hi guys!!

Here comes a little "what if" in 1/48 scale. It is the Ta 183 "Huckebein" from the Academy.
A lot of knowledge gained from this project flew into the development of later known aircrafts such as the MiG-15, the F-86 or the Argentinian Pulqui II.

Built out of box. Colours from Mission Models, Gunze and Revell.
Weathering by washing with diluted oilpaints und use of various pastel chalks.

Sealed with matt clear coat from Revell.

My "What if" for this kit went in a slightly different direction.

Stefan,
Beautiful work! How did you get the scalloped edges between the the upper and lower wing surfaces so neat and even?

Looks great, Jessie!! The father of MiG-15 and grandfather of MiG-17.....

MLD, it was very simple. With the help of a photo cutter. Don't know the right english word, but it's a board on which you can cut photos with different blades.
One blade has a wave blade. With this I cut the edge of a strip of Tamiya tape and then used it as a mask.

I had an entire story written about it. It was around the site somewhere, but it seems to have vanished in the intervening years.

I love how nice and even your paint job came out.
