Ok, begs the question, to me at least, is this massively over engineered or does the kit really need it? After finishing, and immediately dumping, the KH Littlebird, I’m tending towards the later, but t stand to be corrected on that.

From what I hear, the KH 1/48 UH-1D kit is really good. It really doesn't need any update sets. There is a slight issue with the plate the transmission sits on as it doesn't have any locating pins for it, so you have to get the depth/height right yourself. Not hard to do, you just need to know about it.
