Zvezda has posted news that their new-tool 1/48 scale Mi-24V/VP Hind will be released later this month.

I have mine on pre-order from Arma Models in Moscow - they did a pre-release bundle of extra's to encourage take up of this one. Apparently they say if this is a profitable/popular release for Zvezda it will be followed by the Mi-8 "Hip" and Ka-27 "Helix" amongst others

It looks nice. Apparently it is the only model with the correct fuselage twist. It should put the old Monogram one to shame. Now how about a Hind A to go with it?

It’s the only 1/48 kit, other scales have the twist. The parts breakdown allows to make other versions, including the A versions similar to the 1/72 line they have.
