I'm getting ready to tackle the 1/48 Fujimi 109G-6 kit with Galland's black tulip markings. (I know, I know, the Hase is a better kit, but the Fuj is what I've got). The instructions reference only the Grunze colors; since my paints are all Testors, PollyS, and/or Tamiya, that doesn't help me. Could someone suggest the right RLM colors for interior spaces (cockpit, wheel wells, etc.)? Is it all RLM 66, are some places still RLM 02, or is there another color?
While we're at it, anybody got suggestions on the kit, or the Eduard detail set I have for it?

I'm afraid I can't help with the kit, but I can with interior colours. Cockpit is RLM 66, wheel wells, and gear legs are RLM 02, wheels are gloss black. Take a look on the "Critics Corner" board, there is a stunning 109 that will give you all the pointers you need. Careful though, it will also make you envious

Oh, that Frank Crenshaw model is a masterpiece. I had forgotten it was a Gustav, so it will make a lovely reference and inspiration. I think it's one of the better models that has ever shown up on armorama, and that's saying something.

Hi !
I might be wrong, but I believe it is Erich Hartmann's 109 you are referring to (or possibly Hermann Graf's with a red tulip nose). Is there a red heart ("Karaya" written on it) included ?
Galland never flew a G-6 in combat, since he was MajGeneral that time and not allowed to fly combat missions until late 44/early 45 (on Me262 along with Jagdverband 44). Also his personal emblem (on his special 109F) was a Mickey Mouse.
