Hello all,

i would like to share my latest model with you. For this model I decided to try something different by recreating the box art of the kit. It is the Dornier 228 marine patrol aircraft by Revell in 1:72 scale. My model is a Dornier of the Netherlands Coastguard. The Kustwacht uses the Dornier for pollution control and search and rescue missions. To replicate this aircraft I had to add a FLIR camera and the SLAR radar on the side. Painting required a lot of masking, but it turned out nice. I made my own decals to depict PH-CGN. The aircraft is displayed on a seascape with a 3D printed oil tanker.

Thank you! It is a striking scheme for sure, nice and colourful. Tricky to paint though for someone who is more used to camouflage!
