So I am decallin the P-47D Jug from monogram. And this kit is old, ancient. And the decals just react terrible to the setting solutions. So I went through the spares box, and found stars and bars from an old Jug kit I did a long time ago. Used those, and then for the code lettering I used WZ-I the decals that come with the P-51 kit from Revell. Chopped them up and now I have a Jug thats painted in alum. plate, and the code on the side is, ZW-I. Ohh and it also has 8 air to air victories.

So the moral is to save all those extra decals. Never know when they will come in handy. Its strange thinking that I decalled a whole plane just from left over decals.

Thanks for listening to me rant!

I always save the unused parts of my decal sheets. You never know when they will come in handy.

I do the same thing, especially when I brake one of the decals. but i have never been able to decal a hole plane with just left over decals, I just don't heve enough.
