I am building the ancient AMT 1/48 JU88-4 kit. It's been moved around so much that the lower fuselage clear pieces are missing. Squadron has a JU88 S/T vacuform canopy kit but it won't work for me.
Does anyone know of any manufacturers that that might produce a kit of what I need?

I am mostly an armor builder but I had this old kit sitting around for years so I thought I try my hand at my first wingy-thingy in many years. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeff

My first thought for aftermarket canopies would be Falcon (Clear-Vax) - and they do a Ju 88A-4 set, but I don't know if you could coax it to fit the AMT kit.

To be honest, the old AMT kit has SO many issues, I'd actually recommend you do yourself a favour and ditch it in favour of a more modern kit. I bought it 30-odd years ago and wrote it off straight away as a bad decision and, at best, a caricature of a Ju 88. It really is pretty dreadful.

All the best

Thanks Rowan. I am committed now. I am not an aircraft builder but I started it because it was just taking up space. If I can make a respectable finished product I will be satisfied. I bought it at an Ollie's discount store for 12 dollars.
By the way, after some serious searching, furniture moving and taking out drawers I found the missing parts. They had fallen behind a drawer. I actually ordered another kit so I could scratch build the canopies using it as a template. So I'll build two. I also got a Bf 109C bundled with it. Both kits cost $21.00.
Hey maybe I am an aircraft guy now......nah...I'm still a treadhead.
