Hi all,
i had planned to do this earlier this year but various issues have slowed me down on the campaign front. So i am wondering if there would be any interest in another Helicopter campaign which would start at the end of the year and run for 9 months. any scales and any branch of service welcomed as well as partial builds, figures, vignettes and dioramas welcomed as well.
additional rules etc to be discussed in this thread.

I've got a few choppers that need built. But, I'm kinda booked up at the moment. The 9 months is good, but could we start in January or February?

I am interested with a couple of part-builts, but I have to warn folks that most of my campaign builds end up being finished (years later) in Shelf Queen, Gettr Done, or Hangar Queen campaigns...
just sayin'

Shhhhh.....don’t mention my trade secrets like that. He just needs warm bodies to kick it off.

Hobby Boss kits, Zvezda, or *shudder* KP? I've built the first two and keep shelving the third.
It's a crying shame that there is not a modern quality kit of the subject.

Hi Mike,
2x Zvezda with a 20% discount, i'm sure some manufacture (or 2) will step in at some point ;-)

anyone heard from Gino lately? he's usually one of the first to sign up for helicopter stuff?

I'm still waiting. For a helicopter ALMOST as iconic as the Huey is it sadly underrepresented.
The cockpit glass on the Zvezda kit is a tougher fit than the Hobby Boss kit and if I remember rightly has some of the accuracy issues of the KP kit.
The rotors are REALLY fragile and mine have broken over time in the display case.
That said, it is the ONLY way to get an armed version with weapons pylons out there in 1/72 at this point without going down a long scratchbuild or an expensive aftermarket road.

Missed it by that much. One of my hanger queens is a Huey, but all that's left is decals and spinny things. I'm dithering between two Huey Cobras, an original Monogram AH-1 or a Kitech AH-1Z.

I am in! No idea with what, but I have an old venerable ESCI Mi-24 and a 1/35 Kiowa in the stash, just waiting to be build.

Cross posted, let's see how this works.
AH-1Z is my preferred victim, 1/72 from Kitech.
I’ve got low expectations going in. My last Kitech kit was a cheap knock off of an Italeri kit. But I need the experience. Hopefully it won’t be too bad.
Edit, not so well, had to replace link for photo and emoticon.

Darn, I just finished a third Helo build this year and am doing that feature article now. Let me dig out the forth but would it be ok if it's just started?

Before David gives you an answer, how about some details on the other 3 builds?
