I'm building a 1/48th scale P-47 and need to know how wide the D-day invasion stripes are on the wing and fuselage in.
Any help would be great.
Thanks, Doug

I'm not sure of the size, but if you got reference pictures and find where it ended, just divide the space up accordingly.

The invasion stripes on Fighters were 18" wide, 2 black, 3 white. For scale stripes you need to do a little scaling. First of all you require the decimal fraction, for 1/48 that is 0.0208. Now multiply the measurement by this ie 18x0.0208 = 0.3744 inch (9.36mm)
