Aircraft are not made in 1/35 scale. For some reason, large scale aircraft are all 1/32 scale. Slightly larger than 1/35. There are lots of 1/32 scale WWII aircraft models out there. Check at Great Models Webstore and you will see lots.

I can't help but think manufacturers are missing out on potential sales here. Surely aircraft in 1/35 to tie in with vehicles AND vehicles in 1/48 to tie in with aircraft would create more sales?

Well, hope to help with these two, not exactly planes, but they are 1/35.

You can use a 1/32 aircraft with 1/35 fiures and/or vehicles around it for you dio. The scale is close enough that it will work.

There's a Bf 109G by Pend Oreille in 1/35.

Check Scott Van Aken's review here : http://modelingmadness.com/scotts/axis/luft/me/109/po109g6.htm

If you used Verlinden or some other 'slightly overscale' resin figures which seem to b closer to 1/32 you might be in luck. Some Revell 1/35 figures (noticably their DAK) are actually 1/32. Or you could buy 1/32 people. Lik these ones i have, US para 1/32 d day by this brand CONTE... try right down the bottom of this link:

I have US paratroppers set #1. They are made in france. Pros/cons: REALLY good detail, guns a little underscale, soft vinyl (flimsy guns = easy paint chip), base for each figure...
You get 16 in a box, but there are only 8 poses. So if you stuff one up don't worry. Or, you can make 2 dioramas and give one to somebody. Which brings me to.... can you buy 1/32 C-47 Dakota aircraft? I would love to crash one into the ground for a dio with these figs. Or perhaps a 1/32 glider? any way, cheers

But you can mix the scales to have people of different size!

A tall German machine gunner, etc....
