Whilst the paint hardens, over a couple of days, I've taken some pics. I still have a bit of weathering to do, fill a small gap between the canopy. but its nearly finished.
The model is 1/35 scale Academy. I've used the Two Bobs decals. so far I'm pretty happy with it, what do you thiink.

Ditto what Steve wrote - WOW! This looks like a great start to weathering - how "bad" are you going to go with the weathering process? I don't recall seeing a nicer Academy 1:35th scale Cobra than the one you've got there at this stage...

Nice looking Snake. One thing though, the color you used for the interior panels is wrong. It needs to have more yellow in it, like this:
Other than that very impressive work.

What zach means, it needs to be zinc chromate, what you have is interior green. This shows up mre in ww2 fighters than modern helis. Nice chopper man!

Nice whiskey Cobra,
So is the Academy version a repop of the MRC version?
Aren't those 2Bobs decals the greatest?!?
What did you use for the blue on the front sight? I really like the effect. You captured the anti-laser coating (?) really well.
Mike

The innner compertment color is actually Zinc Chromate Yellow. It is a paint that actually has zinc in it to defeat rust and corrosion. Yes, the Academy kit is the MRC kit. Great kit too, I have built a couple and I love them.

Other than the Zinc Chromate on the panel interiors as mentioned before. The only other thing I can see is. The front turret tub looks like the bare plastic of the kit and not painted at all..
Other than that she looks great.... Can't wait to see her all dirtied up don't forget to dirty up the rocket pods and tow launchers too...
Keep the pics coming.. she looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all your replys. It so good to get some creative feedback.
I used a blue overhead projector pen to get the blue tint on the anti-laser coating. I think it turn out pretty well.
I agree with everyone about the zinc chromate, however i was using this pic as reference.
I think if i'm carefull in should be able to prize the engine out and respray the panels.

Wow, that's a fantastic model, especially for OOB. This one is a real keeper.

If you had a tarmac and a photo of a hangar in the back you wold be convinced it was a real chopper. I like it very much. I don't know if it has all the "rivets" or not and i don't care. I do know what is built right and this shows a lot of dedication and care in the build. Bravo and three cheers.

Very very nice job there. I backup all thats presaid above. About weathering i thing to show more agressive and wild u need a 50 % percentage meaning not to light weathering but also not very bad treated. Very nice build allover, and nice engin details BRAVO
