I am working on a Revell F-18 and am wondering,
Can I install two mk.83 bombs on the inner pylon, and then a single laser guided one on the outer pylon.
This would be on both wings of course. Thanks for your help.

Chip:
If you are hanging those mk 83's on a parent rack then you should be fine, but if you planning on putting two per rack on each side i.e. A multi ejector rack. You may have a clearance problem with the landing gear doors. Those 1000 lbers have a big radius.
Hope this helps

I have seen a pair of Mk82 500 pounders on the each pylon...even a pair of 500lb LGBs on each pylon....but I think a pair of Mk83s would be stretching it a little bit...not because of weight, but because of the width.

More often than not, the inner pylon was reserved for a fuel tank on either side and a centerline tank and counteract the relative short legs the hornet possesses. Even the E/F variants with larger wings and thus larger internal wing tanks still carry at least two side tanks. So attaching Mk83 on the sides may not be desirable, but is doable. If you do attach the bombs, attach them on MERs
though these are 500 pounders they shouldn't have a problem with width on the landing gear. Hear is another picture below showing an alternate option. Again these are probably 500 pounders, but 1000 lbs. are doable.

hi chip,
i build a hasegawa F-18 1/72 not long time ago and it end up like this.
i'm not sure about the capacity of each wing but i placed 3 mk 82 on a TER in the inner pylon and laser guided 500 on outer pylon. the only difference, you want to put 2 1000 lbs bombs on the inner pylon, mine is 500lbs lighter.
