hi there pfc,
i'm the AFV guy...but from time to time, i love to build something diff. from the ordinary..
so i build 1/72 planes, heli... they're small and fun to build..unlike their big scale brothers which is more details..more part..more filling required....
to me, regardless of what scale i'm building, the priciple is the same...
the only differeces are the size and accuracy and also parts..
1/72 scale off course u dont expact the details to be like those of 1/35 scale.... but the details are adequate enough for its scale....
they;re faster to build.. and mind your eyes..in some areas, u have to use magnifying glass expecially when painting along the canopy frame..........
have fun building them just like me.......
:)
my 2 cents........

I agree with Silantra
Theyre fun, the detail (IMHO) has improved a lot in the last few years.BUT
I have an opti-visor
and if you dont -
you'll soon wish you did
You can also display a PILE of them in the same physical footprint
All the best

The only real problem I have is keeping my touch delicate. I usually work on 1/35 armor. So when I work on 1/72 aircraft I have to remember IT IS SMALLER. Also, as mentioned above, a magnifier is a requisite (at least for me).

AIRBRUSHE!
if you have an aztek airbrush, you might want to invest a few dollars for a new nozzle. one for finer detail... awsome when it come to camoflage.
Good luck
